Ashton Allen LLC partners exclusively with conservators who are professional associates of the American Institute for Conservation of Historic and Artistic Works and who strictly adhere to the AIC’s Code of Ethics and Standards of Practice, only using techniques and materials that are founded in conservation research. Storage facilities are Wi-Fi temperature and humidity censored with hourly reports which are monitored to ensure a maintained, controlled environment. Facilities are protected by UL Certified Central Monitoring Station and HD CCTV Surveillance system with Armed Guard and Police Response.

Art collection management, logistics and concierge services for private collectors, artists and galleries
Project-based consultation for private and corporate collections, requiring coordination and correspondence with multiple parties to oversee and manage project from start to finish

  • Organize and administer shipping, framing, restoration, storage and site specific installations requiring crane operators, rigging, mounting and securing oversized or complex artworks to unusual surfaces

  • Preliminary on-site examination and survey to assess project scope and generate detailed estimate; providing ongoing correspondence with client, adjuster and all relevant parties, as needed to expedite and process claim 

  • Assemble and manage specialists to execute each stage of the project including: barcoded inventory and condition reports, custom crating, archival and specialty packing, secure transport, climate controlled storage, installation, and fine art conservation

  • Coordinate artwork restoration by leading conservators, including but not limited to: paintings, sculpture of all mediums, works on paper, photography, books, frames/pedestals and textiles

  • Extensive experience liaising with home owners during high stress periods; instilling assurance and confidence in the level of care and attention given to their collection

Managed the development and growth of the gallery’s creative vision and business operations
 

  • Participated in curatorial decisions and exhibition planning, including preparatory tasks, coordination with artists, artwork shipping, installation and special events

Managed the curation, donations and exhibition of one hundred artworks, raising $500k to benefit Project Angel Food

Ashton Allen is the owner and founder of Ashton Allen LLC Fine Art Services. She has a B.A. from UCLA and an M.F.A. from Otis College of Art and Design. Currently, she consults and advises for private collectors and galleries in both Los Angeles and New York; providing concierge level services, from last minute requests to complex and confidential projects for high-profile clients. She has over fifteen years of experience managing large teams, coordinating logistics and overseeing all aspects of a job, from start to finish. In addition to collection management, Ashton has worked on numerous residential insurance claims involving substantial art collections requiring swift and safe removal, along with restoration and conservation. Based on the scope of work, she assembles and manages specialists to execute each stage of the project. She has established a broad network of fine art authorities and conservators; allowing her to provide a range of unique and highly distinguished services including:
